Made with SoGo Pure Energize Cacao Shake Powder

Energize Cacao Powder is the energy ingredient in this recipe. It is a rich, chocolatey blend made with organic superfoods, adaptogenic herbs, mushrooms, and plant-based protein.
The blend includes cacao, maca, guarana, cordyceps mushroom, catuaba, and pea protein. It is sweetened with stevia and date sugar.
I created Energize to support clean, sustained energy without the jitters or crash. It is made for clarity, focus, and feeling like yourself — but with energy.
Why I Love This Recipe
I love this recipe because it gives you a sense of indulgence without guilt. These energy balls are chocolatey, satisfying, and made with plant-based ingredients.
They are a beautiful option for a midday chocolate craving, especially when you want something that feels like a treat but is still rooted in nourishment.
I like to say, this is a raw, tasty wellness without the hassle. No baking. No complicated steps. Just simple plant-based ingredients mixed together, rolled, chilled, and dipped in melted dark chocolate.
Key Ingredients
Maple Syrup
Maple syrup is my go-to alternative to granulated sugar when I am baking or creating sweet recipes. It adds natural sweetness and blends beautifully with cacao and almond butter. In this recipe, maple syrup helps bring the ingredients together while adding a smooth, rich sweetness.
Almond Butter
Almond butter, made from ground almonds, adds creaminess, healthy fats, and a smooth texture to this recipe. It is naturally rich in vitamin E, minerals, antioxidants, and monounsaturated fats. It also helps give the energy balls their soft, satisfying texture before they are dipped in chocolate.
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp Energize Cacao Shake Powder (add 1 Tbsp more if you need extra energy)
- 3/4 cup smooth almond butter
- 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp chipotle powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups 70% dark chocolate
I use dark chocolate bars because they usually melt smoother than chocolate chips. Many chocolate chips contain stabilizers that help them hold their shape, so bars can create a smoother melted chocolate coating.
Instructions
-
In a bowl, mix together the almond butter, Energize Cacao Powder, maple syrup, chipotle powder, and sea salt until smooth and combined. The mixture should form a soft dough-like consistency.

-
Roll the mixture into 1½-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
-
Place the tray in the freezer for 1 hour to chill.
-
When you are ready to dip, chop, or break the dark chocolate bar into small pieces. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or by placing a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water.
-
Dip each energy ball into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess chocolate to drain off.

-
Place each dipped energy ball back onto the parchment-lined tray.
-
Place the tray back in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.

The result is a satisfying dark chocolate energy ball with a smooth almond center, a touch of warmth from the chipotle, and a rich cacao coating.
